MpaBoa 'Sneaker' Gala - Fresh Out the Box

"I am because we are." An exclusive invite to our annual marquee charitable event of the year.

The 3rd annual MpaBoa Sneaker Gala - Fresh Out the Box is a celebration of authenticity, contribution, and community hosted at The Mezzanine in New York City. This year’s formal affair is dedicated to the people who have broken down barriers to create space for their dreams and our culture. Against limiting societal norms and other adversity, these disruptors have emerged Fresh Out the Box.

The Gala will begin promptly @ 6:00PM EST. Guests–dressed in formal evening wear with their freshest sneakers–will be checked in accordance with NYC COVID protocols.

Following check in, get ready for our stylish red carpet experience with photography by Mike Uko and live music to set the tone.

That’s just the start to a night of excellence, including a chance to check out our Sneaker Vault showcasing the recently released Air Force I “Little Accra” and some of our other favorite sneakers. Make sure you also bid on a piece from our curated Silent Auction exhibition, “Shattered Walls: A Living Experience,” featuring the limit-pushing art of Denny Ow, Solomon Adufah, P-Studios, and more!

For the rest of the night, enjoy a culinary display of the best twists and fusion dishes by Michelin Star Chef Charlie Mitchell and dance to the sounds of Premium Vibez Entertainment's DJ Strikah and DJ Shy Guy. We'll also identify the silent auction winners, acknowledge the support of Mi Daakye's donors, and announce the first annual Mi Daakye Barrier Breaker Award Recipients:

*Abdul K. Abdullah - Founder of Afrochella
*Diarrha N’Diaye - Founder of Ami Cole
*Eche Emole - Founder of Afropolitan
*Ashley Obasi - Founder of Black Girls Graduate

Mi Daakye Summer Social - LA Edition

Join Mi Daakye for our 1st event in Los Angeles.

Mi Daakye is now on the West Coast! We know you're excited to join us on Sunday, July 31st from 2 - 9pm at Melrose House.

Some of our community on the East Coast have migrated West and this event is partially for those who have supported us in the past, and definitely for everyone that can't wait to get to know us.
